尤氏家族的尊贵珠宝设计及精密的制作，始于其曾祖父BoghosYoussoufian，迄今延展至第五代近百年的历史。祖父约瑟夫、尤曾荣为埃及皇室御用珠宝设计师和鉴赏师，并先后服务于国王福阿德一世和埃及未代国王法鲁克。1952年，国王法鲁克被迫退位，1956年，尤氏家族于埃及亚歴山大城的店铺被新政府没收充公。1962年迈克尔、尤的父亲即哎佛·尤在英国伦敦重整旗鼓，再度成功建立了家族事业。哎佛·尤目前身在瑞士照顾日内瓦专店，为欧洲显赫贵族人士服务。迈克尔·尤和夫人施晓红、尤则作为家族事业的掌舵人服务于亚洲及世界各地。从儿时起，迈克尔·尤先生就展现出多方面的艺术天赋。他与众不同的绘画才能便受到关注，许多作品迄今仍被专业人士收藏。10岁时、他随家人移居伦敦，后又搬去日内瓦。在那里，他考进了日内瓦的艺术设计大学，主修美术。同时、在父亲的影响下，还选修了珠宝设计与制作课程。22岁毕业，并取得美术和装饰艺术双学位证书。之后、便开始为世界上最悠久的手表制造商之一的爱彼皇家橡树牌手表制作样品表，受到著名手表设计师杰拉尔德的多方指点，最终成为一名优秀的手表设计师。28岁时、他秉承父业，开始了他的装饰珠宝艺术生涯。在之后的数年里很多他的设计作品均获得珠宝之奖项。40年来、迈克尔、尤先生和夫人施晓红、积累了丰富的宝石鉴定、珠宝设计与制作经验。他们的设计呈现充满历史文化传统与艺术，极有收藏价值。
